<p>One of the things I felt strongly about back then was this rule we had on me going out.  I was not allowed to go or play outside unsupervised.  The thing was, all the adults in our family were busy most of the time so you can imagine how that worked out for me.  When other kids were out playing, running, yelling at each other and basically having a good time, I was inside our house usually up in my room by the window watching the other kids down on the streets.</p>
<p>Let’s now fast forward to my 14<sup>th</sup> birthday.  By this time, my folks have started to acknowledge that they needed to stop worrying and allow me to live a little.  They finally gave in to my insistent whining and gave me a bike.  On that very day, my passion for biking began.  I can still remember how I first gripped on those handle bars, my first push on the pedal, the first fall I took.  Yes, I remember every little detail.  Learning how to ride a bike was a very memorable event to me.</p>
<p>In case you’re wondering, the one thing I really love with biking is the feeling of exhilaration I get when the wind starts blowing against my face. It clears my mind and gives me a sense of freedom and peace.  Try it and just let yourself go, you’ll see what I mean.  Aside from that, it keeps your body fit without you even noticing it.  It’s a great cardio workout for both your heart and stamina.  Contrary to the common misconception, biking does not just involve the legs.  It also makes use of your arms, torso and head.  All of these are needed for you to keep your balance centered.  It also sharpens coordination among your senses, making use of your eyes and ears as well as your mind.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.supportkevin.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/ab_workout.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-276" title="ab_workout" src="http://www.supportkevin.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/weight_loss_fitness_program.jpg" alt="" width="180" height="119" /></a>More and more people these days are becoming exercise buffs.  These people choose to stay in shape for different reasons.  We have those who exercise out of necessity for health reasons.  We also have those who simply want to build muscle and get a good ab workout.  These are the ones who treat exercise as a hobby and live for every minute of it.  Not everyone though see exercise as a fun activity.  Take for example those who exercise for the purpose of losing weight.  For most of them, exercise is a grueling task.</p>
<p>There are several ways to exercise.  One can take up dancing or maybe choose a sport and treat it as a recreational activity.  We have a wide variety of sports to choose from like basketball, tennis, badminton and boxing.  On the other hand, for those who prefer to exercise on their own, they can take up jogging or cycling.  It gives a person a chance to clear one’s mind and meditate at the same time.  Speaking of meditation, another form of exercise would be yoga.  It incorporates meditation into exercising.  It is also a good way to get a good ab workout and build muscle and get that toned effect that gymnasts have.</p>
<p>Yoga is an example of an instructor led exercise program that you can later on do by yourself in the confines of your home.  Another example would be Pilates.  If you are looking for a really good ab workout and get that oh-so-flat stomach or maybe get six pack abs, then Pilates is definitely the way to go.  It focuses on your core or what they call as the powerhouse involving your abdomen, lower back and buttocks.</p>
<p>Consequently, if you want to exercise to build muscle, you can always go to the gym.  You will be setup with a program specific to your body type.  In this program, you will be doing repetitions of forward bends, sideway bends, hip twisting, sit ups, leg raises, leg presses and bench presses to name a few.</p>
<p>Over the years, a lot of fitness programs have been coming out.  It all started with aerobics and later on evolved to TaeBo, Zumba, and CrossFit listed as the most popular ones.  There are so many ways and forms of exercise depending on a person’s interests and preferences.  It’s difficult for one to not to fall into this craze.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.supportkevin.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/diet-plan.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-272" title="diet plan" src="http://www.supportkevin.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/diet-plan-199x300.jpg" alt="" width="199" height="300" /></a>Losing weight has never been easy.  I’m sure at least ninety five percent of the majority would agree with me on this.  Unless if you are one of those really fortunate ones whose metabolisms are like the speed of light, losing weight and looking for the best diet available leaves less to be desired for.  How often have we found ourselves falling into the trap of diet scams after failing to check diet reviews?  I think it would be safe to say that at least once in our lives we suffered the consequences of trying the “easy way out”.  Serves us right for believing in those ads don’t you think?</p>
<p>Now how exactly can we spot these scams apart from the ones that are legit?  It is quite simple.  Aside from diet reviews, we can use a system that is already inherent in us: COMMON SENSE.  I mean come on.  We can’t expect to lose weight that easily.  Otherwise, people around the world wouldn’t be whining about putting on a few extra pounds and those weight loss companies and affiliates would go bankrupt.</p>
<p>Let’s face it.  It’s time to look for the best diet suitable for our bodies.  Stop believing in those ads that claim to make you lose pounds in as fast as 7 days.  Heck, it would take a miracle for us to lose those unwanted fats in less than a month.  Ditch those supposedly “dietary” pills, drinks, patches, coffee, tea, creams (I could go all day) and the whatnots.  Those are all scams.  If a stroke of miracle does befall you and you do lose weight from those products, wait until side effects start showing.  That is what diet reviews keep pointing out.</p>
<p>Let’s keep it real.  The best diet would be that which starts with patience and discipline.  Without these two key elements, you’re running a rat race.  Also make sure that you will be doing things correctly.  Go to a nutritionist if you don’t know much about these kinds of stuff.  Follow the dietary plan in your chart religiously.  It would do you good to do a little exercising every now and then too.  The one important factor that you need in this entire process is consistency.  Stick with it.  As they say, NO PAIN, NO GAIN.</p>

<p>Indeed, appearances are getting quite important in our times today.  After all, the first factor that a person can use to sell one’s self during first impressions is his appearance.  Personality, character, attitude, morals and values would take a much longer time.  This particular standard that society has imposed upon itself can either be good or bad, depending on how the person takes it.  So long as you do it correctly and so long as you do it for the right reasons, it is considered good.  Let’s site some examples shall we?  Take for instance dieting to lose weight.  If you eat better food like fresh fruit in place of junk or processed food, then it is a good thing.  Whereas if you starve yourself or throw up everything you eat, then that’s self-destruction.</p>
<p>Let’s move on to the proper use of make-up. Rule of thumb: there is such a thing as “too much”. There are only two categories when it comes to make-up, good taste and bad taste.  Finally, there is exercising.  It is not enough that you exercise as much as you can.  You also have to make sure you eat better food.  More so if you want to lose weight.  Exercising is pointless if you keep stuffing your body with bad food.  This is regardless of your goal, whether it is is to lose weight or to just stay fit.</p>
<p>These examples that we have discussed are but a few pointers in taking care of one’s appearance.  There are several other ways ranging from correct posture and looking confident down to wearing a smile and good hygiene.  Choose whatever works for you. Work on your strong points.  Better if you can incorporate everything altogether.  It’s your call.</p>
